Write out of the box has fantastic ideas to encourage fine motor development with materials you may already have in your home. We implement their ideas through out the preschool classroom!

I really enjoy this blog and glean many, many ideas from this fabulous preschool teacher.... Not all of the ideas may be suitable for home play, but maybe you'll find something new and creative to do with your kiddos this summer.

zoo day!!

The most anticipated day of the year? Zoo day. It was a perfect day to go to the zoo, along with a LOT of other schools. :) All of these pictures are from our lunch under the tent by the giraffe exhibit.

There was an interesting conversation going on here.

WE LOVE HC PRESCHOOL!

last week of preschool

The last week of preschool is always bittersweet. Some children will come back for another year while another group moves on to Kindergarten. We will miss those who move on, but recognize the readiness and excitement of new experiences.
We cherished the "last" week of preschool by offering favorite activities.
There was a lot of building with McDonald's cups - and re-building when they fell over.

And of course....worms!!!

Marble rolling with paint - the challenge is to see how much paint you can "roll" on your paper to cover up the white!

It's taller than me!

Drawing our own hopscotch game

This was pretty impressive - the opening in the front is the door. It actually stayed up for awhile and then it was a big pile of cups.

Our last time on the playground.

Waiting for a turn on the tire swing.

Smiling and waiting.

In the tunnel.

We had a fantastic year at preschool!! Thanks for following us on the blog this year. More to come this Fall.
Enjoy your summer.
